Your provider will begin by discussing your skin type, concerns, and goals. They’ll assess your skin condition to determine if a chemical peel is suitable for you and if it should be combined with other treatments or boosters for optimal results.
Before your treatment, it's important to prepare your skin to ensure optimal results. We recommend avoiding retinoids, harsh exfoliants, waxing, and sun exposure for one week prior to your appointment. Men will want to shave 24 hours or the night before your chemical peel. During your treatment, the skin is thoroughly cleansed before a gentle application of The Perfect Derma®. The process is quick, safe, and effective, making it a convenient option to achieving brighter, healthier, more youthful-looking skin.
After your peel, it's normal to experience some redness, tightness, and peeling that typically begins within 2-3 days and can last up to 1 week. To ensure the best results, avoid picking or peeling the skin, and follow the provided aftercare kit, which includes soothing products to support your healing. Stay out of direct sun exposure, apply sunscreen daily, and keep your skin moisturized as it sheds and renews. With proper care, you'll reveal smoother, clearer, radiant skin.

The Perfect Derma® is generally well-tolerated and not considered painful. Most clients describe the sensation during the application as a mild tingling or slight stinging that last a few minutes before quickly subsiding. Any discomfort is temporary and minimal, and the treatment does not require numbing. Afterward, the skin may feel tight or warm, but the sensations are short-lived and part of the process.
Mild peeling typically begins around day 3 and lasts up to 1 week, revealing smoother, brighter, and more youthful-looking skin beneath.
Many clients see results after just one peel, but a series of treatments may be recommended for deeper concerns such as acne scars or stubborn pigmentation.
Peeling and flaking can occur for 5-7 days, but most clients can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.
Most clients benefit from a series of treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart, depending on their skin concerns and goals. For general skin maintenance and anti-aging, one peel every 3-4 months is often recommended. It is best to wait at least 48 hours to wear makeup after your peel, as your skin is in hte early stages of healing and may be sensitive. Applying makeup too soon can clog pores, increase irritation, and interfere with the peeling process. Once your provider clears you, you may return to makeup. It is best to choose gentle products and continue wearing daily SPF to protect your refreshed, renewed skin.
